Fashion is an inherently visual topic, so it lends itself well to images. Add to that the fact that it’s often ridiculous, and you have the perfect New Yorker cover topic. Maybe that explains why we got so many submissions this week (though perhaps it has to do with Gayle Kabaker’s recent cover…).
Thank you to all the artists for their fabulous contributions. There are pleasantly few images here that deal with the minutia of what’s fashionable this minute. Instead, many of these cartoons are about the issue we all confront each morning - “what am i going to wear?!?” As always, we look forward to hearing this community’s thoughtful comments on which images you like and why.
